On the anniversary of Robert Kennedy’s death, I photographed the entrance sign of the recently demolished Ambassador Hotel (the site of Kennedy’s assassination) once every hour, from dusk until dawn. Several months later, I mailed postcard versions of my photographs to twelve recipients—one per day, for a total of seventeen consecutive mailing days.
