S/T

July 14 - August 18, 2012

For the project S/T (2009-12), I developed a work-in-progress series of trompe l’oeil paintings based on locally-purchased resale copies of the Beatles’ “White Album” LP. In each work, evidence of physical use on the cover’s plain white surface has been meticulously replicated with oil paint on a 12” square panel. The series has been exhibited, in varying stages of completion, on three occasions—at C.R.E.AM. Projects (Brooklyn), Dan Graham Gallery (Los Angeles), and at David Kordansky Gallery (Los Angeles).
